Dr. Jeffrey Schantz
Dr. Schantz has been providing orthodontic care to the Palm Desert community since 1985. He earned a Bachelor degree in Chemistry from the University of California in Irvine and went on to earn his dental degree from UCLA. Dr. Schantz completed his General Practice residency with the U.S. Public Health Service and received his Masters of Dental Science from the University of Connecticut. He also completed his Orthodontics residency at the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Schantz has had articles published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Journal of Dental Research Abstracts. He has also lectured at the American and International Association of Dental Research Meeting and at the Southern California Damon Study Club. He is an active member in the American Association of Orthodontists, International Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Tri-County Dental Association and the Damon Study Club of Southern California. In addition, he is an Invisalign Elite Provider.
He and his wife, Mimi, have two children, Nick and Tammy. Dr. Schantz enjoys golf, sailing, snowboarding, scuba diving, backpacking and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Dr. Morgan Moranda
Dr. Moranda grew up in Corona, California and completed his undergraduate education at the University of California in Riverside. After college, he entered dental school at UCLA, where he was involved in several research projects and graduated at the top of his class. After dental school, Dr. Moranda began his residency in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Connecticut, widely known as one of the top orthodontic residencies in the world. During his 36-month orthodontic residency, he was involved in research and teaching while earning a master’s degree in oral biology. Dr. Moranda was awarded a two-year fellowship for scholastic and research merit, and was chief resident of his class.
Upon completion of his orthodontic residency, Dr. Moranda entered private practice in the Coachella Valley. He is an active member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Damon Study Club of Southern California.
Dr. Moranda is married and has three daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, golf and playing guitar in a rock 'n' roll band.
